**Special Announcement**
Dear Patients,
At Envision Eye and Laser, your best vision is our focus. We are concerned for your general health as well. Each day, we open our doors to serve our community with this commitment. In light of COVID-19, we are making it our top priority to take appropriate steps to ensure the health and safety of our patients and staff, and to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
My hope for each and everyone of you is to remain healthy during these trying times. Because many of my patients are in the “at risk population”, I am obligated to help reduce exposure to COVID-19, which may be transmitted even if someone does not feel sick. To achieve that goal, as directed by the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control, I am open only for TRUE Emergencies. Please call the office and listen to the prompts to reach me in a True Emergency. All routine exams, scheduled surgeries and lasers are postponed. We apologize for any inconvenience these necessary measures may cause.
Even if you have a scheduled appointment, please call before coming to the office, because we are closed until April 1, 2020. I will be sending out text messages and phone calls with updates. For non-urgent needs, our office will respond to phone calls and emails once we are able to resume normal business operations.
Please call your pharmacy for any prescription refills. They will contact us.
We are in the process of implementing tele-health and tele-medicine so that I can still effectively provide your ophthalmic care. Please re-visit this website for updates.
We are all in this together and appreciate your understanding as we navigate in uncharted territory. We physicians and healthcare workers are working tirelessly to overcome this crisis. We will get through this together.
Thank you for your patience and for doing your part to help flatten the curve.
If you are feeling anxious about these issues, please consider reaching out on church prayer lines, the CDC website, or the emergency room if you are in a mental health crisis. There are many meditation websites and apps as well. Here are two that may be helpful. Insight Timer and Brain Training.
To stay healthy, please avoid crowds, but reach out to friends and family by phone, wash your hands, stay hydrated and take care of your physical needs (sleep, moderate exercise, healthy food). And most importantly look out for one another. We look forward to seeing you soon!
Yours in health and gratitude,
Dr. Bovelle
